North “One Way” Itinerary Embarking in Muhammad Qol
DIVING EXCURSIONS: SHAMBAIA – ABINGTON – ANGAROSH – MERLO – QITA EL BANNA – SHA’AB RUMI – PRÉCONTINENT II – SANGANEB – WINGATE – UMBRIA – PORT SUDAN
There are many reasons for choosing the “One Way” cruise:
Blu Sudan Team has been organizing “One Way” cruises since Autumn 2011.
This is an interesting option which we are offering also for the incoming season.
These cruises are a 170 miles round trip, which include the well known area of Shambaia and the legendary Angarosh. Cruises board and disembark in P. Sudan.
The “One Way” option reduces navigation time and diving sites are reached either by ascending north or by cruising south. The safari becomes a more relaxing experience and much time is gained which can be dedicated to other sea life activities such as snorkeling, resting or sunbathing.
Once arrived at P. Sudan Airport, your journey will continue by minibus to Muhammed Qol.
On Tuesday morning, after just two hours of navigation, you will reach Merlo for the check dive. This means you will start off from the extreme north of our itinerary.
The cruise will continue in decent, regardless of calm or rough seas, since it’s all downwind from there!
After having completed our dives at Angarosh, Abington and Merlo, we shall sail south to Qita el Banna, then Sha’ab Suedi, Sha’ab Rumi and Sanganeb.
Finally we will visit the famous wreck of the Umbria and end our cruise in Port Sudan. On Monday morning, for those who wish to visit the city, there is always time for a tour and a trip to the suk, where you can mingle among the local people and simply browse around. A pleasant and interesting addition to your vacation and an experience in Sudanese territory.
